Here at SMC we understand that not all bikers are male! We’ve received lots of comments and heard many stories of dealerships that assume you ladies are pillion riders only, of being patronised and worst of all, getting ignored by staff that don’t take you seriously. That’s what prompted us to introduce the ‘Ladies Zone’ section of our website.

You’re motorcyclists at SMC. We’ve responded to your requests.

 

Quite often we’re informed of dealers who neglect to stock a range of clothing cut to suit you! We don’t simply try to sell you a smaller male item.

 

Our Ladies Range of boots, gloves, jackets, trousers and suits is extensive and being added to all the time.

 

You also tell us that it’s often the case with bikes, especially with sports and retro models, that seat height can be a problem. Sorry, but the following applies to your male counterparts out there too..........

 

We supply and fit lowering kits for most makes and models of bike, or we can simply have your seat modified to suit you. So if you find the bike you like but it’s just a little too tall, we can provide a solution and the right advice. Talk to us, we listen!

Meet Jan and her modified Yamaha FZ1

 

Jan is 4’ 11” and has always struggled to find a bike to suit her height. She previously rode a Honda CBR 400 RR but needed to change from sports bikes due to a problem with her neck following an accident.

 

She set her heart on a Yamaha FZ1 but needed the bike lowering, lightening and with modified controls to meet her requirements.

 

A lowering kit was fitted and the seat was modified to allow Jan to manoeuvre the bike comfortably. Jan’s bike also features rearsets by Gilles to replace the originals that got in the way of her legs and a set of Pazzo levers which match her small hands perfectly and look pretty trick too!
